The Living Well Foundation---a non-profit organization announces the opening of the Living Well Village. The Living Well Village houses Health camps and Wellness programs designed for individuals, families and organizations throughout the life cycle.
Wellness is a process in which individuals become aware of their choices and subsequent consequences to these actions. The Living Well Village assists individuals in reaching their highest level of wellness through education with practice. A fulfilling life is a balance between the mind, body, spirit and purpose---all of which are interrelated. The mission of the Living Well Village is to help individuals and families choose healthy lifestyles that will improve their quantity as well as their quality of life. It must be a conscious decision in “choosing to live life well”.
**The Living Well Foundation and Camp Jump Start are proud to present the first ever Race to Your Health! 5k run/walk. The mail-in registration form can be found here. The race will be held on Saturday, October 4th, 2008 during reunion weekend. Course map can also be found here.

We congratulate Mark Martin on completing the PF Chang's Rock 'N' Roll Arizona Marathon. Mark is a friend of the Living Well Village and he truly is choosing to live life well! (Photos here and here)
The Village is located just 10 minutes south of highway 270/255 and highway 55 in Imperial, Missouri. It is an optimal environment for educating and supporting healthy behaviors through experiential learning and having fun! Through these camp programs participants will learn new life skills/lessons, meet new people and work as individuals and in teams. They will gain in self-esteem and self-confidence and develop a healthier mind, body and spirit with purpose.
Let our experienced professional staff guide you to success with fitness activities, behavior modification and nutritional education along with well-balanced, portion-controlled meals.

Recepient of the prestigious Safety 1st designation from Markel Insurance Company. The Living Well Village was selected based on our proven safety record, which according to Markel demonstrates our superior commitment to safety.
Within our first year of operation the Living Well Foundation outreach program has brought to schools nutrition and wellness programs serving 400 students, individual counseling to families and provided knowledge and experience with other not-for-profits.
The Living Well Village provides a home to other health camps such as the St. Louis ARC.
St. Louis Children's Hospital and Cardinal Glennon Hospital have conducted research studies on site. And many universities have participated in internships at the Village.
***The Living Well Village is operated by the Living Well Foundation, a not-for-profit organization as defined by section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Tax-exempt organizations do not pay income, sales or property tax. But not-for-profit does not mean an organization can survive with a negative cash flow. A positive income and cash flow needs to be generated in order to further our mission of creating healthier individuals/family units through experiential learning, Our commitment to health education and the empowerment of people to take personal responsibility for their wellness is what sets our organization apart from the rest. Although health screenings are important to stop a disease process, it is our belief that disease prevention begins in childhood. It is our goal that every individual will "know better so that they can do better". Your support in creating a positive cash flow will allow us to reinvest in the Living Well Village and improve the programs for the communities we serve.
